If you’ve read my intro post, you know I occasionally write song lyrics. I love music but have 0 (as in nada, zilch) musical talent. However, Riley Rose (RileyRoseErotica), who is all-around awesome, introduced me to Producer.ai, an invite-only AI-based music platform, which is a very cool and much more than just a site that generates AI music. She arranged for me to get an invite and I joined.
I have a weakness for 80s power ballads. I’m a huge Pat Benatar fan. I was fooling around, making instrumentals and I heard this one bit. The poem Tyger, Tyger by William Blake popped into my head, and my instant thought was “This needs lyrics!”
Within 5 minutes, I wrote a riff on Tyger, Tyger, changing it to Jaguar, Jaguar, because jaguars are super-cool! I took the lyrics, which are a mix Blake’s original lines and some of mine, went to the Producer on Producer.ai (it’s a chat interface—you can joke with it and it gets the jokes!) said: “Here’s some lyrics. Gimme a kick-ass 80s power ballad to go with them.” (Ok, that’s not exactly what I said, but very close.)
After some chatting back and forth and tweaking (to get model to pronouce “jaguar” correctly—it would say “Jagger” at first; I guess it’s a Rolling Stones fan?) this was the result. I thought I’d share.
