The Far Side of Heaven’s River πŸ”’πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯+

Hello again!

I’ve been busy with creating more video for The Gem Bright Year, and I just got done with the next chapter! Maybe overdone! πŸ˜‚

Y’see… I made 3 versions. For a while now (a few months), I’ve been experimenting with what the newest AI video models can produce in the of NSFW content. Of make that, very NSFW content. And let’s just say, that some AI model developers definitely seem to have their eyes on that! πŸ˜…

So I’ve kinda been waiting for an opportunity to “break the wall” there and I got one! It’s the fishing girls, of course! 🀣 They make an appearance in this video and in each version, they’re raising the temperature, you could say! If you’re on the west coast (like I am), you know we’re having a really weird, late extended heatwave! The National Weather Service calls it “anomalous. πŸ™„

No shit! And you probably also know I hate how weather just about more than I hate almost anything else! So I think this a great time to bring some heat that’s much more pleasant! 🀣

Anyway, all 3 versions are below. “Pick your poison” as they say! I hope you enjoy at least one of them. πŸ˜„

All be working on the next video soon. I’m not finished writing it yet and my monthly credits need to refresh, but Horo Taka’s battle with the pirates is a big part of it.Β  I’ll do my best to keep you posted.

Now for the videos… πŸ˜„

Discussion about this post

  1. Let’s see if I have this part of the story right. This occurs right after the battle in the far north and Horo Taka was anxious to return south in time to be with Kiyohara during the Star Festival . but she and her men were delayed by the storm, so they had to stop at the village. While there, they were invited by the village to attend the Star Festival with them, so they had to stay. Since she couldn’t be with Kiyohara in person, she imagined what it would have been like. The fishing girls’ invitations were for Horo Taka’s men.

Now, does the previous video with the fishing girls on the beach take place before Horo Taka’s journey to the north to restore the provincial governor’s authority? This new video mentions that she and her men had stopped at this village before

    1. Thank you so super-much! Yep! That’s pretty much it! I think I kinda did confuse things a bit though and may change the final version slightly (when I put this all together)? This fishing girls we met before live near the capital; they’re local to there, so these are from a different village. So Shinotori/Horo Taka goes to meet them a couple of weeks before she’s sent to the North.

The confusion is that I mentioned they’d stopped at this village before. That was on their way north, but it’s not explained. The reason I put it in is the trip from the capital (Kyoto) or maybe from Osaka (where Lady Kiyohara has a residence) to the northern province is a loonnnng way! 750 miles! πŸ˜†

I learned the super-horses can travel a maximum of 100 miles/day under good conditions (excellent horses can do about 50). Horo Taka and her men obviously ride super-horses! Japan had special horse from China in the Heian era (see Morris abut the “Procession of the Blue Roans” Shōnagon mentions.) China has these amazing horses from Central Asia; they’re really famous and almost legendary (people were risking life and limb trying to find them into the 19th century)! They made these amazing bronze sculptures of them! (My mom taught Asian art history and I grew up with these super-cool little replicas of them, I think from the Tang dynasty?)

Anyway, Horo Taka and her men totally have these horses! πŸ˜…

But even super-horses can’t go 75 to 100 miles every day. They need a break. So on the way north, Horo Taka and her men would have made 2 stops for a couple of days rest (5 days travel; 2 days rest). So they stopped at this village, which is the second place they took a break. That’s how they amazed everyone by making the journey in 14 days. (It would take about 5 to 6 weeks on a good horse, which can do about 30 miles/day with breaks every 5 days, at least).

So Horo Taka’ and her men stopped at that village again on the way back for a rest, especially given the terrible weather. I might extend the time they stay, by making the Tanabata festival another few days after they arrive (not 2 days, like it is now).

Anyway, that’s all the backstory. But it hardly get mentioned. Horo Taka says in the beginning it took 14 days to travel north; and then 4 days to reach the village. But that was too much detail to go into (look at how this comment is!) πŸ˜† So maybe it’s simpler not to mention the first visit at all, or maybe they didn’t stop at this village? And hopefully it’ll be clearer when the whole video is done when the her meeting with the first fishing girls happens. Watching this piecemeal like and trying to remember every detail is hard! I have to check all the time! πŸ˜…

So, yeah. Horo Taka gets delayed in the village and missed being with Lady Kiyohara. But I’d have to fuss with the timeline. The fastest she could possibly have made the trip is 9 days. It would have to take 5 days (not 4) to reach the village, due to weather, and then stay there for 4 days to attend the festival, to make the timing work? That’s probably doable.

And yep, the fishing girls’ invitations are for her men. So she and Lady Kiyohara have to imagine being together.

Thanks again for the awesome comment! πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„
