Dreams of Summer Video (pt.1) πŸ”’πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Hi again!

I’m excited to be posting the first part of Dreams of Summer! Quite a while ago I posted a video where Lady Kiyohara and Horo Taka/Shinotori enjoy a visit to a mountain shrine where they get to spend a happy interval together. That visit takes place early in the story, and this video tell the whole beginning the story, including an introduction, and carries through to where the earlier video ended. I’ve reworked and reedited the whole video, adding the intro and a whole new scene, as well as cleaning up some rough patches.

Also, this book is divided into separate chapter, unlike the first and third books. I hope it’s true what hey used to say about consistency being the bugbear (or was it hobgoblin?) of small minds? Because I’m totally being inconsistent here! πŸ˜‚

Anyway, this video 12 minutes long (exactly!) and I hope you enjoy it! I’m working on the next video and should have it finished soon! It’s been even more of a challenge than this one was! πŸ˜„ (It’s even sexier too! πŸ”₯πŸ˜„)

  1. Hello dear Robin, wowβ€”what beautiful images, what a beautiful story! It’s like those Chinese films that feature such stunning, visually spectacular scenes. Your stories are just as fantastic. The cinematography and the choice of backgrounds are breathtaking. Please keep it up; it is such a joy to watch your videos. 🩷 🩷 🩷

  2. Superb! This video pulls together all of your previous posts up to the visit to the shrine and adds some new elements into one smooth, exquisite love story. Once all of the segments of the Gem-Bright-Year are completed, this will be an epic to rivel even James Clavell’s Shogun.

Just a little aside. Your name appears in the opening credits four times, once for each aspect of the video. I think I would just like to see “R. St. Lawrence did everything”.

    1. Thank you!!! Thank you with all my heart! Wow!!! I gotta say, this book is turning out to be more involved than I really expected! I hope I can keep it up! πŸ˜„

LOL!!! It does, doesn’t it! I never put credits at the beginning before but I was wondering if I should do something different? I remembers that in old movies, the credits came first and then at some point they switched and just had titles at the start? I don’t know when switch happened? A lot of my favorite movies are from the 70s and some from the 60s and they all start with credits. I gave up on movies over 10 years ago (I think the last new movie I saw came out in 2014?) so I don’t know what they do anymore. But maybe I can just use really simple credits, like you say? 🀣

  3. Wow! Stunningly exquisite! The stirring telling of the ladies story and the context was beautiful and the women are mind blowing. The video is so breathtaking I had to watch multiple times to take in all that was offered.
Thank you for not only sharing this awesome video but sharing your brilliance and storytelling talent. Never doubt you do it with heart, passion and talent. It is honest and beautiful! Same as you. Best wishes!

    1. Oh Wow!!! Thanks so super-super much! That’s truly wonderful to hear! At first I was kinda worried I wouldn’t be able to match the two other videos for this book (Shinotori with her mentor/father-figure and the Pirate video), so I’m really happy I at least got close! I wanted to change the introduction too (not relying so much on scrolling text) and I’m pretty happy with the hostess for this one!

I hope you like the next video just as much! It’ll drop this Thursday! πŸ˜„
